Awards Night 11 at Stockbridge Theatre in Derry NH Saturday January 26th.

New Hampshire Theatre Awards (NHTA) has moved its Awards Night to a new venue. The Stockbridge Theater, on the grounds of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH, is the new site for NHTA’s annual Awards presentation production on January 26, 2013 at 7PM.

“The Stockbridge Theater is one of the finest, most beautiful theatrical facilities in our state, and we’re extremely excited about how this venue will enhance the entire awards experience,” says NHTA Executive Director, Bob Frasca. “It comfortably accommodates approximately 800 people, and offers roomy seats with spacious aisles.”

For the last ten years, the annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards were held at The Palace Theatre in Manchester. “We owe a huge debt of gratitude to The Palace Theatre for a magnificent decade of their generous support and, in particular, we’d like to acknowledge the many years of personal support by Peter Ramsey, the President and CEO of The Palace Theatre,” says Frasca.

When asked if NHTA staff are experiencing trepidation about the venue change, Frasca states, “Presenting our coveted Awards at the Stockbridge Theatre perpetuates our mission of supporting professional and community theatres all over the state. This is our eleventh theatre awards season, and this year we plan to grow our organization even further, so it’s a logical progression for us to step out on our own.”

States Matt Cahoon, Director of Arts Facilities at the Stockbridge Theatre, “In this, our tenth anniversary season, we have actively sought out opportunities to elevate the quality of the offerings at the Stockbridge.  We are very proud to be hosting the NHTA and look forward to celebrating with New Hampshire’s theatre community in January.”

“We’re also proud to announce that we haven’t raised our ticket prices for our first Awards Night at the Stockbridge Theatre,” Frasca says. “We’re very excited, and look forward to seeing everyone when we acknowledge the best and the brightest in New Hampshire’s theatre community once again.” Tickets to the 7PM January 26, 2013 Theatre Awards will be available for purchase in December.
