NH Theatre Awards Happy Mask Each year the NH Theatre Awards recognizes achievements and exceptional talent in New Hampshire produced theatre through a unique adjudication process. This adjudication process cumulates to an Awards Night held each year in early February.

Participating theatre companies provide Adjudicators which adjudicate a fellow theatre company production. Six adjudicators are sent to each show where they are required to score and comment on various elements of the production and its actors.

All nominations and scoring is performed online. Communication with theatre companies and their adjudicators are done via email. You do not have to be affiliated with a theatre company to become an Adjudicator - although all Adjudicators must attend an annual Training session. The annual Training helps focus Adjudicators and theatre company Liaisons on our process for Adjudication.

On the Awards Night the Top 3 Finalists will be announced with the category Award presented to the winner. Winners will be given stage time for brief comments. When calculating final scores the highest and lowest scores are not considered in order to prevent bias. Adjudicator comments are made available to theatre companies after the Awards Night and are anonymous.

We're again at the Cap Center for 2017

The 1000+ seat theater is an historical treasure that opened in 1927 and was renovated in 1995. The new location offers a number of advantages including the chance to host our own "After Party" in the C.C.A.'s spacious "Governor's Hall" -- making it easy to keep the night alive after the awards have been handed out.

The New Hampshire Theatre Awards has always been a statewide celebration of theatre and the central location of the C.C.A. will make the event even more accessible. Concord's streets are packed with restaurants and fun meeting places for those who like to gather in advance of the show, and the city will have just completed a multi-million dollar renovation that will add to the splendor of the occasion.

We look forward to seeing you at the Capital Center for the Arts on Saturday, January 21rd, 2017 at 7:00pm

Please check our website and Facebook page for ticket information as we approach the event date.
